Great idea, bur the app crashes a lot on my iPhone4 with iOS 6.1.3.

Why the automatic disconnect??

This is the best XMPP chat app for iOS, but useless until Apple grants background support for pure text based chat apps.

Can not see any chat messages in the App! No need to download this App. Wasted time. You can not delete accounts at all.

OTR is the best secure messaging protocol available to date. In addition, Facebooks open messaging protocol is now supported, which means secure communications between non technical friends has never been easier. Although, I wonder how long Facebook will allow this, because they no longer can scan your IMs for advertising purposes.

I dont really think this needs much elaboration. It is a well designed IM app that supports OTR. Great work!

Crude interface. Keeps popping up inactivity warnings even when disconnected.

Simply cant login to XMPP server, and no error message at all. All the other clients tried work right away on this server. iOS 6.1.2 and iPhone 4S.

OTR works fine once established, but theres functionality missing: Shutting off the screen will start the inactivity timeout countdown, very annoying when changing between apps pr simply wanting to save on battery. Cant maintain a permanent XMPP connection, it should be able to keep the app open throughout the day like any other IM client. No option for saving conversation transcripts, clear text or encrypted. Enforce OTR for all chats option and also the capability for storing multiple fingerprints for a same contact would be a couple of nice enhancements. ## Update 2013-06-13 Constant crashes on new version!!

Good looking app, but useless since its disconnecting once you close it ! Please make it possible to work on the background.

It works really well and works as intended. The ability to manage the OTR keys is nice. Reviews indicating issues with backgrounding should know that this is an iOS limitation, not a limitation with this app. The chat clients that do not have this limitation typically work with a server-side component that sees the messages (Beejive comes to mind). Of course for a privacy focused app this is not an option.

Waste of time. Always kicks you out of the app.

Great app for secure messaging but huge bummer I cant lock it to the side on my iPad while Im doing anything. From my understanding its relatively small development resources to implement and Id really appreciate it. Thanks crew!

Excellent work to c it happening on the ios OTR+TOR= real chatsecure

Ive tried everything to get this to work. After re-installing it I was able to chat for a total of 1.5 minutes before it began crashing again. Id improve my rating if the app improved, but in its current form it isnt usable at all.

I found that I cannot use this app to connect to my XMPP server, but it only provided a few commonly used XMPP server.

Only basic functionality, but quite good app. Could be nice to have password-protected, encrypted history and configuration.

Those message balloons should be wider, also, would you consider adding MUC support? Will be 5 stars when that annoying bug with balloons is fixed.
